Day 1

Arrive Wichita. Check in to hotel

6:30pm-10:00pm
Mosley Street Melodrama

Mosley Street Melodrama takes you back to the Old West where the villains abound and heroes save the day. And most of all, YOU are part of the action! Sigh for the dainty heroine, cheer for the hero, and boo and hiss the villain (a little bit of well-aimed popcorn doesn't hurt either.) Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings. Buffet is served prior to the performance.

Watch glass being hand blown into pieces of art. Then, shop for beautiful art of a variety of types in the gallery.

Botanica, The Wichita Gardens
Take a relaxing, guided tour through the many lovely gardens of Botanica, which include nearly 10 acres and 24 themed gardens. This is one of the most beautiful attractions in Wichita.

Wichita Art Museum
As the largest art museum in the state of Kansas, The Wichita Art Museum houses one of the country's finest collections of American art. Masterpieces by Mary Cassatt and Winslow Homer are among the more than 6,000 works in the permanent collection. The collection includes bronzes and paintings by western artist Charles M. Russell.

Lunch at the Wichita Art Museum or in the Old Town District.

2:00pm-3:30pm
The Museum of World Treasures
A wonderful, fascinating museum with exceptionally knowledgeable, entertaining tour guides. Exhibits include: The Founding of America: A Revolutionary Success, Gallery of Ancient Civilizations, American Presidents Gallery, Royal Gallery, Air & Space, and American Frontier. Wonder at the display of dinosaurs and mummies. Even people who don't like museums like this one.

3:40pm-4:15pm
Nifty Nut House
Check out the amazing variety of nuts and candies at the Nifty Nut House, a third generation family owned business. Lots of sugar-free candies, too.

4:30pm-5:30pm
Old Cowtown Museum
An accredited living history museum, Cowtown celebrates life in 1865-1880 Wichita, Sedgwick County and the Southern Plains. The museum provides an interactive experience with costumed interpreters. Highlights include home tours, working blacksmith, carpentry, and newspaper shops, marshal's office, saloon, and cowboy camp.

5:30pm-9:00pm
The Diamond W Wranglers at Old Cowtown Museum
Enjoy the very best in cowboy stage shows. The world-famous Diamond W Wranglers, perform classic Western Music of the silver-screen cowboy era, as well as new Western tunes, at the Empire House at Old Cowtown Museum.
