From the Old Town red-brick warehouse district to the WaterWalk to Delano, Wichita has entertainment and cultural attractions, shopping, and dining options that rival other metropolitan areas of its size.

On the Final Friday of each month, art galleries, museums, restaurants and retail shops extend their hours and open their doors to artists and art lovers. The core hours are 7-9 p.m. with the galleries and shops hosting new art shows or closing receptions. Many of the venues feature live music and all of the art is for sale.

Music is the focus on the First Friday. Venues, musicians, and music enthusiasts combine to create a downtown jam session. A short walk segues from one style of music to another - rock, jazz, country, blues and reggae - until you find the sound that's right for the moment.
