Wichita Flight Festival

Great Plains Renaissance Festival
This living history festival celebrates the Renaissance proudly by offering two annual productions. The spring and fall events offer traditional time-period outfits, including velvet dresses and full body armor, jousting, sword-fighting, live performances and much more. It promises to be fun and educational for the whole family!

Kansas Book Festival
This two-day festival celebrates literature, history, art and culture in Kansas. Book readings and signings, demonstrations, performances, a book fair and entertainment put on by a wide variety of performers help to make this a fun experience both young and old alike!

Tallgrass Film Festival
Showcasing independent films and up and coming filmmakers, this three-day richly diverse independent film festival allows the public to interact with writers, directors, filmmakers and performers. Each year's selections include narrative, foreign, documentaries, animated and more making for a very enlightening experience! It takes place at a half dozen centralized venues in Downtown Wichita. As the largest film festival in Kansas, Tallgrass screens approximately 100 feature and short films.
