The city of Wichita's five courses annually log 200,000 rounds of quality, affordable golf.  Golfweek Magazine ranks Auburn Hills among the top five municipal courses in Kansas. Arthur B. Sim Park Golf Course is nestled in the bends of the Arkansas River. The creek winding through L.W. Clapp Golf Course is sure to test your short game. Mature cottonwood trees line the fairways of Alfred MacDonald Golf Course - originally opened as the Wichita Country Club. Tex Consolver Golf Course is the longest of the city-owned courses and considered the most challenging.

Flint Hills National Golf Club, near Andover, has hosted the USGA Senior Championship and USGA Women's Championship. Golf Digest ranks this Tom Fazio-designed course at No. 63 on its list of America's Top 100 Golf Courses.

A public course with a private experience is what awaits golfers at Sand Creek Station in Newton. The Scottish-links course earned a 4-and-a-half star rating from Golf Digest and was Golf World Magazine's Readers' Choice Winner of the #1 public course in service and overall value.
